Welcome.
You’ve Found the Right Place
At Where Help Is Found, we believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to live their best lives. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, navigating relationship challenges, or seeking to find balance in a busy life, you don’t have to face it alone.
Guided by Heather McGowen Sanford, MA in Clinical Psychology, LMFT, and LPC, our approach blends warmth, compassion, and evidence-based techniques to support your journey toward greater peace, meaningful connection, and personal wholeness.
“I’m so glad you’re here!”
“We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to love their life. By fostering emotional and relational health, individuals can reconnect with themselves and others, rediscover their purpose, and build a future filled with compassion, balance, and hope.
With an M.A. in Clinical Psychology and dual licensure as a Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring a well-rounded perspective to supporting a wide range of emotional and relational needs. Having lived and worked across multiple countries, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity—including my own—which allows me to offer therapy that is both empathetic and inclusive.
In our work together, we’ll move side by side, setting meaningful goals and exploring practical solutions to life’s challenges. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Relationship and Family Therapy, Trauma and Attachment work, Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and specialized counseling for teens and young adults.
I look forward to meeting you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll work toward stability, healing, and a renewed sense of peace.”
